Active ingredients in Dermalex-MD
Hesperidin methyl chalcone
Despite its complicated name, hesperidin methyl chalcone is derived from such common sources as citrus fruits, like lemons and oranges. Hesperidin methyl chalcone is a flavinoid -- a type of particularly powerful antioxidant. It has the effect of reducing the leakage from capillaries. which helps to stop dark circles in their tracks. An anti-inflammatory, hesperidin also diminishes the puffiness and swelling often associated with dark circles.
Hesperidin methyl chalcone diminishes the body's reaction to allergins, aids in protecting blood vessels from damage, and corrects the damage caused by free radicals.
Chrysin
Chrysin is another antioxidant, a flavinoid, also derived from plant compounds. It is a powerful antiinflammatory and reduces swelling and puffiness. By itself, chrysin seems to have vasorelaxive properties, meaning it helps dilate blood vessels. This helps to prevent capillary leakage -- preventing dark circles from forming.
Chrysin and hesperidin are thought to have a synergistic effect when used in combination.
Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3 and Palmitoyl oligopeptide
These synthetic fragments of collagen molecules help to boost the metabolism of skin cells, which accelerates the growth and cellular division of the deeper layers of the skin. The result, as one Dermalex user says, is impressive. "I can actually see an improvement in the texture of my skin," Kathy of Lake Placid, PA reported after only a few weeks of using Dermalex-MD.
Cucumber extract
Long used as a home remedy for dark circles, cucumber contains both bleaching and soothing properties. These virtues are harnessed in their most concentrated form in cucumber extract. Cucumber extract provides a pleasant, cooling sensation that helps to diminish puffiness and inflammation around the eyes.
Dermalex contains the antioxidants Vitamin C and Vitamin E, along with retinyl palmitate. This retinoid is a form of Vitamin A that's easily metabolized by the skin and used to fuel the metabolism of the skin cells. Retinyl palmitate does not provoke the same sort of photosensitivity as other more well-known retinoids. In addition, aloe vera gel, long used for its soothing and healing properties, is incorporated in the Dermalex formula. Try Dermalex today and watch those dark circles start to fade away.
